Art Workshops Annual Exhibition
Teaching period: 2001 - 2002
Duration: 2 - 31 October 2002
“8 Art Space”
On Wednesday, 2 October 2002, works by young and older students of the Art Workshops of the Rethymno Centre for Contemporary Art (today's Museum of Contemporary Art of Crete) filled the “8 Art Space” (8 Himaras Str.) with colours and harmony.
For the sixth consecutive year, an exhibition dedicated exclusively to students, children and adults was held with passion and enthusiasm in order to showcase the works created during the 2001 - 2002 teaching period.
The exhibition included works from all students that took painting, ceramics or freehand drawing classes, and constructions that were created based on the modern teaching methods of visual language.
At that time, the Art Workshops of the Rethymno Centre for Contemporary Art offered painting and ceramics classes for children and adults as well as some freehand drawing classes for candidates to the schools of Architecture and Fine Arts and for students of the pedagogical departments of Primary Education and Early Childhood Education. At the same time, during October-November 2002, a course on the History of Art was implemented.
The exhibition lasted until 31 October 2002.
