In the context of the exhibition Painting in the Cinema, a  presentation was organized on November 1996, at the Gallery L. Kanakakis, of the book by Zeta Kountouri, entitled “The opening Night”  (Published by “Hestia”).

The book had received very good reviews and according to the experts had created a new style in modern prose. It consists of 14 stories divided into two parts having as common thematic area the manifestations of the human soul.

Behind the stories which deal with the complex human relationships, the family deadlocks, illness, war, existential angst; the permanent joust between life and death takes shape, looked upon with anguish and humour by the author.

A special tour of the exhibition “Painting in the Cinema” followed the book presentation.
