Workshop on the subject: ’Paul Cézanne, a pioneer of modern art’.

Paul Cézanne (1839-1906) was an emblematic figure in the history of modern art. At the beginning, he studied law and then he attended painting courses. His artworks are placed between impressionism and modern art movements with cubism being his starting point.   His compositions express the freedom of figures placing emphasis on the concept of solid. Moreover, they are focused on the access to substantial while giving space a new concept, as well as on the expression of both universal and timeless. He is one of the most influential artists and is known as the Father of Modern Art.
