Art walk/ guided tour in the work of Valerios Kaloutsis by the famous musician, George Kaloutsis

Sunday, 12th May, 12:30 pm
C.C.A. of Crete

In the framework of the retrospective exhibition Valerios Kaloutsis: Transformations of a landscape, curated by Christoforos Marinos, we had the chance to admire the artist’s work through the eyes of his brother, famous conductor, composer and musician, George Kaloutsis.

George and Valerios Kaloutsis, born and raised at Chania, Crete, have made a major contribution to culture, as they both had experiences of cultural heritage which they successfully conveyed through their work; Valerios in art and painting and George in music.

The walk/ guided tour in the painter’s works was more of a personal approach of George Kaloutsis, emotionally enriched with the experiences and background he shared with his brother, combined to his love for art and culture.

The tour took place on the premises of the Contemporary Art Museum of Crete, at 32 Mesologhiou street, old town, Rethymno, with free entrance.
