The Contemporary Art Museum of Crete presented the exhibition of Chryssoula Skepetzi, Ruged up Memory or sugar - free, from June 11 until July 15, 2018 curated by Constantinos V. Proimos.
The exhibition was inaugurated on Monday, June 11, 2018 at the Ibrahim Chan Mosque, at the Fortezza at 08.00 pm.
As the curator characteristically said in his presentation of the artist: “Chrisoula Skepetzi produces sketches which reflect loss. With her explicit reference to loss, Skepetzi recalls the most famous myth concerning the mnemonic origin of painting. According to Pliny the Elder, painting began when a woman sketched the shadow of her loved-one on the wall to find solace from his forthcoming departure”.
